He is one of our older Hand to Paw temple dogs- loved for well over a decade. As he has gets older, he needs more regular vet visits and check-ups and he has a new growth on his abdomen that we will remove and biopsy ♥️

When I first moved to Thailand in 2005, I rarely saw old dogs here. It is such a pleasure now to see more and more old dogs around, especially when they have been well loved and looked after for all these years 🐾

Surgery and biopsy will likely cost just $150 USD. We are also now feeding him canned food to help him keep his weight up ♥️ if anyone wants to be a hero to Law, any amount to support his treatment would be warmly appreciated 🥰

I went to visit Baba this week and he still has his beautiful coat 💕 him and all of the dogs at the temple are part of the 150 temple dogs we look out for 🙏

♥️ Today alone, we took 5 animals to the clinic for medical interventions and check ups! Law, one of our old timers at one of the temples we oversee, has not been feeling himself lately so (as we run tests and start medications) he will be hospitalized for a few days for observation and care 💕

The kitty cat was flagged up in our neighborhood as needing urgent care for her eyes. She’s been sent home with three weeks of medications, two types of eye drops, and a cone! 🐈 she should get some relief soon!

🐶 Brazil is being treated for cancer, 🐕 Cleo was vomiting and not her usual happy self (likely some tummy upsets), and we paid for a biopsy on a dog’s mass to see if it’s a type of tumor we can safely remove.

All of this, thanks to you dear readers 🥰 we get to stop their pain and get them back to feeling well again 🐾

We also went back to the new temple under our care with 30 dogs and cut spay stitches, dewormed, and vaccinated as many as possible there too! The thirteen teeny babies are thriving and the two momma dogs are deliriously happy to see us each time 🥰

One of the older puppies was lethargic and refusing to eat so we started treatment at the temple right away and then took her to the clinic for both Parvo testing and bloodwork (thankfully negative for Parvo, now back at my home for observation and care) ♥️

Vaccinating, deworming, and treating all of these dogs for fleas and ticks costs us just about 17,000 baht ($500 USD). Without doing this, the dogs would almost surely be doomed to get blood parasites from ticks, they would be susceptible to dying from Parvo or Distemper, and they would be severely malnourished from the intestinal worms stealing the nutrients from their food.

In one day, we alter those circumstances for the better!
